The Chinese Embassy urgently warned against flying to Saudi Arabia

In the early hours of 22 October, the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority issued a communiqué stating that King Dammam Fahd International Airport had been attacked in the evening of Wednesday, 21 October, and that it had now caused one death and eight injuries, with material damage still under assessment. According to other official sources, an Aden airliner was damaged in the attack, injuring one of the passengers.

Missiles and drones have continued to attack airports and vital facilities in Saudi Riyadh and Dammam. The King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and a number of southern urban airports are still without precise information about their resumption, and other urban airports frequently experience large-scale anomalies.

China's diplomatic and consular offices in Saudi Arabia once again remind the Saudi Arabian authorities and Chinese citizens of the need to raise awareness of safety and security, to reduce non-necessary travel, to stay away from sensitive areas such as airports, oil installations and military bases, and not to film military operations and sensitive facilities. It is recommended that no air travel should take place in Saudi Arabia in the near future, and passengers who have obtained tickets should be kept in close contact with the relevant divisions to follow the changes in flights and the relevant airports. In the event of a dispute, the relevant evidence is preserved and the defence of rights is reasonable.

Attention is drawn to the relevant national entry requirements for Saudis who are proposed to enter or leave Saudi Arabia by land from a third country with important documents. It is essential that long-distance vehicles be safe and comply with traffic rules.
